This shape of cup is called a "vierpassbecher", which was usesd to pass the cup around and up to 4 persons could each have an own drinking area. Siegburg pottery was used in almost the whole of western Europe. Due to the use of wood in the kiln, the cups all have different flaming patterns. On some of the cups wood residue can be found, like the originals. |
